Lets Talk Sports_Week 6 NFL

Hello all,

I know that this is a blog for our "teaching with new technologies" class, but I am truly interested in sports and competition. I want anyone who is also interested to comment on my blog and write anything at all. I am open for questions, comments, and anything really.

This week the Dallas Cowboys lost to the Arizona Cardinals in an overtime game. Dallas had just made a 50+ yard field goal, by Nick Folk (2nd year in NFL, from U of A), and seemed to have all the momentum when Terrell Owens won the coin toss in overtime. By the time the game ended Dallas had a punt blocked that was returned for a touchdown. The most impressive player in this game was the Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald. In Overtime Larry Fitzgerald did not even have to display his greatness again like he did earlier in the game for them to win. Fitzgerald burned Dallas CB Adam Jones multiple times, and looked like a top 3 NFL Wide receiver.

The other game I was interested in was the Washington Redskins vs the St Louis Rams. The Rams had yet to win a game this year until this week. I predicted that the Rams would win, and they did win their first game of the year. This is great news for the cowboys, who are in the same division as the redskins. Also, tonight on MNF the Giants lost to the Browns, which is also good for the cowboys. Now we will see if they can win their next 3 games without QB Tony Romo, who is out with a broken pinkie finger.

The Atlanta Falcons once again looked good, beating the Chicago Bears. This team has a rookie QB Matt Ryan (From BC), and looks like they may end up making the playoffs in a wild card spot!
The Houston Texans beat the Miami Dolphins literally as time ran out this week. Quarterback Matt Schaub, coming off of an injury, ran the ball into the endzone as time ran out to seal the victory for Houston. The Texans stellar WR Andre Johnson had a monster game with over 100 yards receiving, a touchdown, and a huge 20 yard completion on Houston's game winning drive.

How do you feel about the NFL?
Do you like the Cowboys?

I love the NFL...but sadly I do not like the cowboys. haha I think it has something to do with one of my best friends who always gives me a hard time when the Chargers lose...he LOVES the cowboys.
Tony Romo is a great QB, and I know he had hurt his finger recently...is he playing this Sunday?
